Admission Guidelines for Admission to courses offered by Rungta Group of Institutions

Under Graduate Engineering (B.E.)

Admission to the group institutes can be secured by appearing in either State CGPET (Pre Engineering Test) Conducted at state level or by appearing in AIEEE ( All India Engineering Entrance Exam). Directorate of Technical Education Organizes Centralized Counseling for both the category of candidates- CGPET Qualified or AIEEE Qualified. Students interested in seeking admission under the Management Quota seats can apply directly at respective colleges for which a separate College level Counseling is conducted. Annual Fees for engineering program in Group institutes is approx Rs. 55000/- per year.

Students interested in seeking admissions in Engineering course may visit AICTE web site to know in detail about eligibility norms as well as to gather information about approval and affiliations of a college.

Engineering colleges under Rungta group of Institutions are affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University and are having due approval from AICTE.

Graduate Engineering Degree (M.Tech / M.E.)

  1. Allotment of Seats
    1. General – 12 Seats
    2. Sponsored – 6 Seats
  2. Admissions Procedure for General Seats
    1. Admissions will done on the basis of Merit list prepared on the basis of valid GATE Score.
    2. If the seats are vacant after giving allocating seats to Gate qualified candidates, the seats will be offered to students on the basis of the Merit of their B.E./MCA overall marks.
    3. If the seats are vacant even after allocating seats to B.E./MCA students, the same will be offered to M.Sc. Students on the basis of their M.Sc. Marks.
  3. Admissions Procedure for Sponsored Seats
    1. Admissions will done on the basis of Personal Interviews conducted by Admission Control Committee.
  4. Fees - : Rs. 16000/- (Rupees Sixteen Thousand Only) for all category of seats per semester.
  5. Miscellaneous -:
    1. It’s a Full time course and no part time will be entertained.
    2. Documents to be submitted during admission -:
      • Mark Sheet of Qualifying Examination (all Semesters)
      • Gate Score Card (If Applicable)
      • Sponsorship Letter from Sponsoring Authority (If Applicable)
      • NOC from the employer (For Candidates employed anywhere)
      • Transfer Certificate
      • Character Certificate
      • Migration Certificate (If Applicable)
  6. Schedule Of Admission
    1. Date of publication of Advt. June 15th
    2. Last of Submission of Forms June 30th
    3. Date of Interview for Sponsored Seats –Within a week from last date of submission
    4. Final List to be Displayed -Within a week from last date of submission
    5. Class Commencement – July 15th
  7. The decision of management will be final and binding to all applicants.

GUIDELINES FOR MCA ADMISSION:

Educational Qualifications:

A candidate seeking admission to M.C.A. Course should be a Graduate of any recognized Indian or Foreign University or Institute recognized by the concerned University as equivalent thereto. The Bachelor’s degree must be of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics as compulsory or additional subject at either (10+2) level or at graduation level.Any allied subject of Mathematics (other than Mathematics or Higher Mathematics) at 10+2 level or graduation level is not acceptable.) Candidates who have passed examination of BCA course from any recognized University are exempted from the eligibility condition of having Mathematics as a compulsory subject at 10+2 level or higher level examination.

NOTE:

  1. A candidate who is appearing or has appeared for final year of any degree examination during the current academic session as a regular or private candidate can also appear in the Entrance test on provisional basis. But such a candidate will have to produce the certificate of having passed the degree examination at the time of counselling.
  2. Candidates placed in the compartmental/supplementary category in the result of final year degree Main examination of 2009 shall not be eligible for admission.
  3. Candidates who have not passed graduation at the time of counselling will not be counseled .

2.3.2. Age limit- Age on 1.7.2009 Should not be more than 27 years .
There is relaxation in age of 3 years for reserved category SC,ST,OBC , Person with Disability(PWD) and female students . This relaxation under reserved category will be available to Chhattisgarh domicile Student only.

2.3.3 DOMICILE REQUIREMENTS :

C.G. Quota- No candidate shall be selected for admission against Chhattisgarh quota seats in University or against the Chhattisgarh quota Seats in Private institution unless,he/she fulfills the requirements of the domicile of Chhattisgarh as defined by the Govt. of Chhattisgarh.

A.I. Quota- For all India quota seats candidates need not be domicile of the C.G. state but must appear in C.G. Pre-MCA test-2009 conducted by VYPAM. CHHATTISGARH Raipur.

Management Quota – For all India quota seats also candidates need not be domicile of the C.G. state but must appear in C.G. Pre-MCA test-2009 conducted by VYPAM. CHHATTISGARH Raipur. The admission will be at institution level.

GUIDELINES FOR MBA ADMISSION:

MBA Full Time : Any graduate (Three Years duration) securing at least 50% marks at the graduation level is eligible for admission. In order to be selected for admission, the aspirants are to appear and qualify at the MAT conducted by AIMA, New Delhi. Based on the merit list and options put during MAT, GD & PI will be conducted at the Institute level. Candidates selected after GD & PI will be eligible for admission. However, the admission will be as per the Ordinance of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai. 60% seats are reserved for candidates having domicile of Chhattisgarh, 25% of the seats will be filled up on All India basis and rest 15% is reserved as management quota.

MBA Program affiliated to other universities will have direct admission on the basis of graduation marks at the respective institutes offering the program.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery ( B.D.S)

Eligibility Criteria:

Only those candidates who have passed (up to the Academic Session 2008-09) in the 10+2 examination of Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council shall be eligible for admission to BDS – Session 2009.

Admission to 50 out of 100 seats in the BDS course shall be strictly on merit as determined in the Common Entrance Test of State of Chhattisgarh namely CGPMT 2009. Students having valid scores in CGPMT can then appear in Central Counseling organized by Directorate of Medical Education of State. Candidates seeking admission under the Management Quota Seats can apply directly at College and a separate College level counseling would be conducted. Annual fees for 4 year course comes to approx Rs. 1,32,000/- per year.

The eligibility criteria for admission to BDS Course in as under :

  1. A candidate who has attained the age of 17 years on or before December 31, 2008.
  2. Candidate having passed 10+2 examination of the Chhattisgarh Education Board / CBSE, New Delhi or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council, as recognized by the syndicate with at least 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) provided he/she has qualified in English of 10+2 standard. However, for students belonging to reserved category (SC/ST), the minimum marks for admission shall be 40% as per rules and regulations of Dental council of India.

Admission to Pharmacy College

RULES FOR ADMISSION
Diploma in Pharmacy (Part-I and Part-II)

  1. Minimum Qualification for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy Part-I course:- A pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
    • Intermediate examination in Science.
    • The first year of the three-year degree course in Science.
    • 10+2 examination (academic stream) in Science.
    • Pre-degree examinations. Or
    • Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council ofIndia as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
  2. Duration of the course: The duration of the course shall be for two academic years and each academic year spread over a period of not less than one hundred and eighty working days in addition to 500 hours practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months.

Bachelor of Pharmacy: - B.Pharm (4 years)

Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology or any other qualifications approved by Pharmacy council of India.

Admission procedure: Admission is granted on the basis of rank in CG-Pre Pharmacy test and counseling by DTE, Raipur.

Guideline for B. Ed. Admissions

Admission to B Ed courses) in colleges/institutes of the group are done through a central counseling after Written test (Pre-BEd) conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examinations Board-CGVYAPAM. Notification for Pre-BEd Examination is usually issued in April. Application forms are accepted usually up-to mid-May. Examination is usually held in mid-June. Pattern of Test:
One question paper of 100 objective type multiple-choice questions of 100 marks in

  • General Mental Ability-30 marks
  • General Knowledge-20 marks
  • Aptitude for Teaching-30 marks
  • General Hindi-10 marks
  • General English-10 marks
  • No Negative marking

Admission Guidelines for Science stream and IT Stream Courses:

Admission to various Bachelors and Post Graduate programs offered in the Science & IT Institutes of Rungta Group is through direct application at the respective Institute level. The Qualifying Criteria’s are as prescribed by affiliating Universities. Students can approach respective institutes and gather information regarding fess structure and eligibility criteria for the course they are interested in.
